Sunny & One Eye
Rio and Lea swim to the other side of the big river (Oder) and start a new life there. They get their first puppies, which include two girls, Sunny and One-Eye.
After the tragic death of Lea and the disappearance of Rio, they must take over the leadership of the pack and take care of the younger siblings. As in every family, there are always arguments here, until the boys gradually move away and the two sisters are left alone.
When a new male comes along and teams up with One-Eye, violent arguments ensue. Sunny dreams of her own pack and gets involved with a dog who gives her mixed-breed children.
This has far-reaching consequences.
A story about wolves that has adapted typical wolf behavior.
Slavko's journey
The young wolf Slavko, who is growing up sheltered in a pack in Slovenia, falls into the clutches of humans at a careless moment. They give him a strange collar that he can no longer take off.
A little later, Slavko feels magically drawn to the high mountains in the distance. Leaving everything he knows behind, he sets off on the great adventure of a wandering wolf. On his long journey he crosses the alpine mountain landscape and encounters many dangers.
He is particularly troubled by the people who have spread en masse in every corner and whose traces he finds everywhere. The loneliness in which his howling is unheard also weighs heavily on his soul.
Will he ever meet another wolf again? And will he ever feel like he's in the right place?
Like Marga Rodmann's first wolf novel, this story about the wandering wolf Slavko also adapts typical wolf behavior.
